Bladder Type Surge Vessels

In bladder-type surge vessels, the operating fluid and gas (compressed air/nitrogen) are separated by a bladder. The material of the bladder (butyl or polyurethane) and the orientation of vessels (horizontal/vertical) depend on the application and vessel volume. The pre-charge pressure has to be carefully decided to ensure the optimum initial air volume and performance of the vessel when in service, thereby ensuring the system is fully protected.

AMETECS Surge vessels are equipped with bladders that are fully customized to suit tank dimensions, and also suitably reinforced depending on the application.
