Al Makki Engineering & Technical Services (AMETECS) was started in 1985 primarily as a supplier of oilfield equipment. Since then, we have successfully ventured into the field of design & manufacture of special purpose equipment for various industries, material handling and lifting equipment, pressure vessels (with U, R stamps), aviation products and steel structures. Technical expertise, product innovation, teamwork and customer satisfaction are our core principles.

AMETECS has a full-fledged fabrication and machine shop in the Mussafah Industrial area of Abu Dhabi (Plot 47, M-5). We have a covered area of 1200 sq.mts. and an open yard of 1000 sq.mts. Apart from these facilities, a CAD-supported division with qualified personnel is available to develop customized special purpose machinery and equipment.

Time bound service and cost-effectiveness being our watchwords, AMETECS has successfully enjoyed the patronage of all leading petroleum companies in the UAE. The performance of our products together with our exemplary service to customers has enabled us to spread our client-base to other Government and private sector establishments in the country. We are constantly striving to better ourselves and at the same time aiming at meeting our customer requirements.

Our experience in lifting equipment has seen us supply more than 300 cranes in the region. The cranes we have supplied include portable davits, jib cranes, monorails (electric and manual), single and double girder electric overhead travelling cranes (mounted on concrete corbels or with steel columns), gantry cranes and counter balanced floor cranes. Lifting equipment are locally fabricated and assembled to meet general or project specific requirements in sewerage pump stations, WWT Plants and other installations. The components and coating system we provide are most suitable for the Gulf region, resulting in trouble-free use and longer service life.

AMETES is also approved by ASME for the design and manufacture of ‘U’-Stamped Pressure Vessels and by NBIC for repair of pressure vessels (‘R’-Stamp).

All products that we fabricate are designed in-house, using the latest software. This aids in optimizing the material usage thereby providing our customers with the most cost effective solution. A comprehensive design process also helps to eliminate factory trials, enabling timely completion of our products.
